I read all of the benefits of XML and got lost … they are all technical and don’t simplify it for new comers for either XML or computer usage ..
I have a website , or willing to , and taking IT courses … I can chose XML in my course plan … but , in simple non-technical words , how can you tell the features and benefits of XML to a web master ??? and who can make the best of it ?

I have an internet browsing history plist in XML format, though I want to convert a string made up of numbers into time and date so I can determine when the website was visited. Here is an example:

How can I manually convert the numbers into a time and date?

How to make an instant messenger that is not blocked by a firewall with DPI?
I have developed an instant messenger application that uses sockets with XML protocol for communication. I am using port 443 as it’s usually open on firewalls. However on firewalls with DPI it’s detected and blocked. The firewall is blocking the outgoing communication, the server is in the public domain, the problem is with the client. How do I make the messenger clients not to be blocked by firewalls?

Hi,
I’m developing a software to track tickets booking. I need a database containing the airport code (like MIA) and the airport name and its city. It should be in an easy readeable format, like cvs, xml or like so, because I intend to import it to an access database.
