I have a XML file that needs to be converted to a CSV or Excel file, while retaining the intended table format. Does anyone know of a free utility that I can download, or VB code that I can use in Excel or VB 2006 Express to accomplish this, or at least get me started?
*I’m currently using Excel 2003 Standard. I understand that if I had 2003 PROFESSIONAL, that version has a built-in feature that would import an XML file and retain the formatting. Excel 2003 Standard imports the XML data, but doesn’t keep the table format. It just imports the whole table into one cell, so it’s kinda worthless in that respect.
I’d appreciate ANY help that you guys can possible offer. Google searching hasn’t provided me with any straightforward answers so far…

You are right Excel Professional has the feature however if you dont have it then its no good.
Use Excel to open the XML file. From there you can save it into XLS format or CSV format.
