how do i over ride access denied when i try to delete a pending.xml file? when i’m computer admin..?

this of course has to do with that same damn error everybody who has vista has. error code 80073712

i can take ownership of the xml file, but when i try to delete it, i get access denied. very frustrating, and ready to wipe vista completly off and go bk to xp

Access Denied is not an error due to permissions, rather some other program is using the file you want to delete.

On start up, just before the windows loading bar appears (the one before the windows logo appears), press F8 (press it when a little white line appears on the top left of the screen). A menu will appear, select Safe Mode. Go through and delete.

You need to go in and change your permissions for that particular file.
