How do I use xml files in Visual Basic .Net (2008)?

Can someone link me to some good tutorials or ebooks on how to access and work with a website’s API through a WinForms Application. Specifically, i want to use recommendations from www.tastekid.com, which returns a simple xml file when queried. I can’t seem to find any discovery document on the site. Can anyone help me figure out how to use the site’s recommendations in my app?

Have you heard of LINQ to XML?

To retrieve and walk an xml just use the xmlreader class.

Create method creates a new instance from a file, string, or url that returns XML. There plenty of ways to walk/read the xmldocument from there.

There other ways too, but they’re more complicated.

I want to tell you that your post is highly acknowledged. It gives me fresh thoughts as well as it is written with simplicity unlike those complex ones i’ve read. Thank you for your post, may i still see those in the future! ;)
