save it your Document as XML
Open the document with Word >Save As… >click on drop down menu Files Type >choose XML document
BEFORE YOU DO THIS CREATE BACKUP YOUR FILE.

Save the document as XML. But remember that the document should have the rules and format of an XML document. Another option is to select all the text (the XML document), copy it and finally paste it on Notepad. Finally save the document and assign the name of the document with .xml extension, like "mydocument.xml" So it is pretty easy as you can see. But remember to follow the XML structure, rules and format in your document. Take care, happy 2009.
