I am trying to convert a Microsoft Project file into an XML file by saving as "xml". I am using Microsoft Project 2000 and in the drop down list of file types I do not see the (xml) option. Can anyone tell me if this option is only available in Microsoft Project 2007?

XML is a Web Page format.
It is a *fairly* recent thing, and if you have not the latest patches for your Project program, it may not be able to do so.
Besides, if I recall correctly, XML is an actual language specifically designed for use in websites. If I’m correct, you may be SOL where converting your Project file over is concerned.
Good Luck!
being able to save in xml format didnt come around till ms word 2003. what you can do if you don’t have anything newer than ms2000 id download open office and open the file in its word program and then save it to xml.
