I have the office orphan computer and I got an email from a co-worker with "*.XML" files that are supposed to be spreadsheets, but my computer can’t open it. any help here?

If I learn HTML do I need to learn XML (and vice versa..)

I am taking a class for XML now and I really don’t understand a ‘real world’ application for it.

Does anyone use XML in the web development world?

What’s the xcopy command in xml? I want to make playlists linked to specific folders. This way every time I add songs to a folder, the playlist is updated automatically. So far I only know how to link a playlist to specific files and not to an entire folder. In batch xcopy or *.* would work, but I do not know in xml.

I am using php version 4.3 I believe and everytime I try and do this

<? echo "<username>sam</username>"; ?> it doens’t echo out the xml only the "sam" string, its really irratating, any reason why php is not reading the string formatted as xml?

like fetching data for xml from sql server and performing group by in it….
what i am trying to do is i have to design a web application using xml and xslt…. in xml i have to get the data from existing table in database.. in that table i have to perform group by clause … this might look simple.. i’ll be very happy if some one helps me out from this….

I downloaded something called rules.xml and installed it, it said it worked. I also downloaded a registry file to make the InPrivate filter be turned on every time I use IE8, and that works.

It seems to be working but I still see ads, what’s the deal?

i want to implement the search in the xml and it fills the following requirements?
create an array with some elements.
when your tying a keyword(the drop down menu comes with those keywords) in the search box.

I want to get the data from http://content.linesmaker.com/xml/lines/204.xml to show on my web page, and update every so often. I don’t really know Javascript or PHP and i’m trying to teach myself. How would I go about doing this using either Javascript or PHP?

When I test the file on my Computer in Dreamweaver it works perfectly. But when I upload everything to my server, its not pulling the images. I have the XML and the HTML in the same folder, and then the images are in a folder : all of this in the public HTML file. Why isnt it pulling the images?
