What does it mean when you see: The XML Page Cannot Be Displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet?
I was trying to help my cousin sign up for something on MTV.com, and we keep seeing a white page saying: The XML page cannot be displayed. Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. No data is available for the requested resource.

What does this mean and can we fix it so she can download the free program she wants to download? I have no clue how to fix it or if it can be fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Jake Cigar:

a cool browser (most today) will attempt to load a second file (the style sheet) when viewing an xml.

You probably have some ‘cheesy’ firewall that is blocking "*.xsl" files.

Or perhaps MTV has a bug.
